What is therapeutic phlebotomy?
Therapeutic phlebotomy removes a set amount of blood to lower iron or red blood cell levels. It's a treatment, so it's always ordered by your provider, who decides how much is removed, how often and what levels to aim for.

Testosterone therapy can raise hematocrit. When your provider orders phlebotomy to bring it down, we can come to your home or office, so staying on track doesn't mean another clinic visit.

The process
How mobile therapeutic phlebotomy works

Send your provider's order
Fax or email the order. It should state how much blood to remove, how often, and any lab levels to check first.

Schedule your sessions
Call or text to book. We can set up a recurring schedule that matches your order.

Your session at home
​We check in on how you're feeling, then remove the amount your provider ordered. Most sessions take about 30–45 minutes.

Rest and safe disposal
You rest while we finish up. The blood is disposed of safely as medical waste.
How to prepare for therapeutic phlebotomy
Before

Drink extra water the day before and the day of your session.

Eat a normal meal beforehand.

Wear a short-sleeved or loose top.

Have any required lab results ready, if your order asks for them.
After

Rest and keep drinking fluids.

Avoid heavy lifting and hard exercise for the rest of the day.

Tell your provider if you feel unwell after a session.
